Ryan Reents / Producer

I help artists find and create their signature sound.

R&B, neo soul, and anything that wants live instrumentation instead of a loop. Built around the artist's voice, played by session musicians hired for that song.

About

I've been playing guitar for twenty years and producing music full time for the last two, working with independent artists across a dozen countries without ever being in the same room as most of them.

I'm from Portland, Oregon. For the last year and a half my fiancée and I have been travelling more or less constantly, through Japan, Southeast Asia, South America, and Europe. Right now we're in Bali.

Outside of music I play soccer, shoot pool, lift, and spend as much time outdoors as I can get away with. Mostly I want to be in the ocean.

But music is the thing. For myself, for artists, and everything in between. I started out producing hip hop and have made rock, folk, country, pop, and jazz records since then. Neo soul and R&B are where I've landed. What I love most is the first time an artist hears the finished song and recognizes themselves in it.
